Amy Coshan - Koorie Coordinator
In 2025 we are pleased to announce that Amy Coshan has been appointed as the school’s Koorie Coordinator. The aim is for Amy to increase the support of our Koorie students and their families, as well as increasing student voice in their learning.  The school wants to connect with the Koorie community and improve cultural learning opportunities for all.

Amy will gather the Koorie students together to work with them on a range of different projects and ensure they have a strong voice in the school and their education. Through this role we are hoping to create opportunities for self-determination, cultural learning and further embedding Koorie culture in our school.

In 2025, Echuca Twin River Specialist school will be undertaking several Koorie led initiatives, guided by the students and families.  We will create a room in the school that will become the Koorie space where our students can meet, yarn and work on different projects. We are excited that there is going to be an opportunity for our Koorie students to meet regularly to yarn and share culture and knowledge with each other.

A bit about Amy.
Amy spent time living and working in the remote community of Milingimbi in the Northern Territory.  She has strong links to that community and has been adopted by locals at Milingimbi.  Amy loves spending time on country and yarning with locals.  Amy is keen to learn more about the local indigenous cultures around our area and wanting to engage with families and student as much as possible, ensuring they have a voice at the school.
